About this place
Compiled from the listed sources below — not a first-hand account.
Wellingtonia Avenue is a long double line of giant sequoias (Sequoiadendron giganteum) planted in 1865 by nurseryman Frederick Street, running through the Heatherside area on the edge of Camberley, Surrey. RedwoodWorld records 218 trees originally set out, the avenue threading from around Yockley Close through Heatherside Recreation Ground toward Upper Chobham Road, now woven among 20th-century housing. The route follows public roads and a recreation ground, so it is freely accessible on foot.
