Harcourt Arboretum is the University of Oxford's woodland collection, about six miles south of the city near Nuneham Courtenay. Its giant sequoias are among the older examples in Britain, dating from the arboretum's mid-19th-century North American conifer plantings, and it also holds coast redwoods and a number of dawn redwoods that turn a rich brick-red in autumn.
